The West Highland Vision Conference comes to Oban
We are delighted to announce that registration is officially open for the 3rd Annual West Highland Vision Conference, taking place on Thursday 12th March.
This year, we are taking the conversation directly to the heart of the blue economy, hosting the event at the prestigious Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) in Oban.
Bringing together key figures from the renewable energy sector, supply chains, and the wider business community, the conference is an essential date for anyone looking to shape the economic future of the West Highlands. The day will feature networking breaks and a lunch showcasing local produce, alongside an agenda structured around three high-impact workshops:
Charting the Course: With insights from Kishorn Port Ltd and Salmon Scotland, this session will debate the path forward for sustainable growth, exploring how we balance coastal resilience with the rapid expansion of aquaculture and large-scale renewable projects.
Ports & Power: A critical look at the “hard infrastructure” required to turn potential into prosperity. This workshop will focus on the urgent need for grid network upgrades, transport logistics, and port modernisation to support industrial demands.
The Tech Frontier: A deep dive into how Artificial Intelligence and autonomous robotics are transforming the region. We will look at how moving away from manual methods toward high-tech precision is driving industry resilience and creating new, high-value jobs.
We are proud to have the support of our sponsors: Salmon Scotland, Ferguson Transport & Shipping, and Industrial Electrical Services.
Tickets are likely to sell out quickly. We encourage members and non-members alike to book early to avoid disappointment.
